Location is perfect, view of opera house and Harbour Bridge if there is no cruise ship blocking it. The common areas and the room were clean, bed was comfortable and you had privacy thanks to the curtains. The bathroom is quite spacious and clean. When I got there the drain was blocked but got fixed as soon as I asked at the reception . The room (4b female) was spacious but lacking some more space to put things, such as shelves or hooks, there’s plenty of room on walls and ground. It’s A bit noisy from the upstairs room, you could hear them walking around and even the beds were let’s say “reacting”. Not really shaking but still you could feel it in bed. The staff were really friendly and helpful, but I had expected some more information upon arrival on how things work there, about events or whatever. If you ask you’ll get all the info you need, but usually when you’re new somewhere you should be introduced at least to the facilities. In my opinion the breakfast is overpriced, it’s cheaper buying your own.

- Close proximity to CBD, most things are walking distance. - Building is easy to locate. - Friendly and helpful staff. - Awesome lounge/dining/kitchen facilities with all you need kitchen equipment, lots of charging ports in lounge and dining area. - Roof top bar and seating area with wicked views of the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and CBD. - Lots of history on site with artifacts and scenery to check out. - Pretty quiet (a little bit of street and hallway noise but it never woke me). - Shared doom had charging port by the bed and also a locker which could be locked if you brought your own lock, locker also had a power point inside. - Linen provided. - All common areas were cleaned and tidy all of the time I was there. - Continental breakfast for $14AUD gave you everything you needed and served from 7am till 10am.

This was one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. From spacious rooms, very sturdy beds, great bathroom in the room itself and kind staff. The view from the terrace is also phenomenal. From all of the YHA hostels I’ve stayed at this is the best one by far. They have lots of taco and bbq nights (and the tacos were so delicious I’m still thinking about them and for only A$5). I cannot recommend this hostel enough. The location is also great, just 5min from the Circular Quay (but there are lots of steps). Also a tip: if you’re coming with the tram from the airport, maps will tell you to get off at the Circular Quay station - don’t because you will have to carry your luggage up a lot of stairs, go to the next stop with is Wynyard as the walk is the same length just with no stairs.

A fantastic hostel in a stunning location with friendly and welcoming staff. Spacious, bright, beautifully designed. Kitchen very well thought out, with ample room for storing own food in fridges and cubby holes. Extra interest provided by archaeological dig in the basement. Brilliant roof terrace. A fraction of the price of adjacent hotels with identical prime position and views of opera house.

The location for the price was excellent. 👌 I’d booked a Queen room with harbour view, but couldn’t see it from my window, even though a cruise ship was in the harbour. When I queried this the next morning they gave me an upgraded King room from which I could see the Harbour & Opera House. Included breakfast was continental style, but plenty of everything you might want.
